I had a super weekend...

I had a few friends come in from out of town to celebrate my birthday! It's always nice having company, but it is so draining to entertain for several days in a row! Im TIRED!

It really was a super weekend! Dinner, cocktails, dancing, comedy club, beach, even went to the local zoo! Gawsh, now that I am writing it all down, I see why I was so exhausted yesterday after dropping everyone off at the airport!

So life is back to normal, however, I feel I still need one more good nights sleep to feel 100%. So tonight I will go to bed early, and tomorrow I should be good as new!

Happy Birthday To Me

It's my Birthday! I'm celebrating 22, for the 10th time! :-)

Im a Busy Bee!

Hey there!

I have been enjoying the summer to the fullest! So much fun to be had, but so little time! Can you believe its almost August? Where has the time gone?

My work schedule has me working some weekends, so that has been a bit of a drag and totally cutting into my boating time. But hey, at least I have a job! So I will not complain.

My main computer crashed, I am so thankful to have such a wonderful friend to help me with a loner until I get mine fixed. I lost all my photos and videos, but my camera still works so Ill just have to take more! :-)

Summer Vacation

I had the most amazing vacation!

I spent time in our Nations Capitol, it was amazing! I have to return, I just did not have enough time to see everything. Rode the train to New York City, it was a first for me, I LOVED IT! Stayed in Manhattan and OMG! It was just wild! I saw my first show on Broadway, Wicked, and it was incredible! My seat was even more incredible! Right up front, all I can say is WOW! Visited Ground Zero, it was very sad. The Statue of Liberty brought a tear to my eyes. Not sure why. I guess I was just filled with so many emotions, sad because I just left Ground Zero just before visiting her and seeing her in person was just breathtaking. I am changing my “Shoe Shopping” Change jar, to “Vacation”!

Nude Beach

Hey! Hope you had a fantastic weekend! It was so sunny this weekend, I went to the nude beach with one of my girlfriends where we worked on our tans…topless!

I got to meet up with an old friend for dinner at Cheesecake Factory! YUM!

Girls Night Out

Hot weather, hot women... don't you just love summer?

I went out with my girlfriends on Saturday. The food was spicy, the margaritas were cold... and the waiter was HAWT! Secrets

I've been checking out another blog, of secrets... Watching other's "anonymous" sharing of their inner most deeds and words. In one way, I'm shocked. In other's, I just keep going back. It's one of the quirks of being here on blogger. Sometimes, it's like checking out a wiki entry... You start with one subject, and all of a sudden, you've spiraled past 35 pages of information. It's the Postsecret here on blogspot. Just... wow. Fascinating. There's bound to be truth, lies, lessons, and inside jokes there. I just don't know which "secrets" fall under which category. LOL

So. What's the lesson? That other people are just as goofy, awkward, and unpredictable as the rest of us. I don't know why it's a fascination. I mean, I like to watch people at the mall when I'm shopping. And I like to wonder about where people are going, when I'm stuck in traffic. But, ... finding out their inner most secrets is like the train wreck you can't look away from. So.. maybe the real lesson isn't about the other people, the people who are sharing. Maybe it's about me. Or all of us. I don't know. Maybe we're all just ... voyeuristic?

Hi, lover! I've been sitting at this keyboard for over ten minutes... Not sure what to write.. Not sure what topic... Okay, I'm normally so much more organized. Giggle. Watch out. The redhead's getting random tonight!

The weekend's coming. A few of my friends want to get together for dinner and drinks tomorrow night. It sounds fun, but I think I'll pass, and work on getting pictures ready for next week... you know, just for you. ;)

OMG! Ok, so now that I'm back awake and moving around... Wow. I had to share my naughty little adventure last night. I'm still giggling over it, and it's been like twelve hours already.

I could hear his pump click off, but he just stood there, acting like it was still going. I wiggled a few more times, just kind of dancing slowly to the music coming from the speakers overhead. Then my pump clicked to let me know my tank was full. I took my time putting the pump back and putting the cap back on the tank. I waited for my receipt. By the time it printed out, he was slowly walking towards the back of his truck. I did this little giggle and a half waved. He looked up, BEET RED, and his eyes just went wide when I waved and said "Have a great night".... LOL! He stammered out this little "I sure will" and turned around to get to the driver's side of his truck. He was definitely paying attention... errrr... at least his pants were... to my little show.

So.. I hopped behind the wheel, met up with my girlfriends, and told them all about it. I know.. I know.. Next time I gas up... I'll at least put on a thong... *giggle*

Monday Simplicity

There are all sorts of small things to look forward to... The smell of cotton fresh from the dryer. A cup of fresh coffee in the morning. That time of night when the moon finally peeks out of the clouds. Simple things. It's what keep us going day to day.

Memory

I just had to write this down before I lost it again in the flashes of memory...


It was raining. Dark. Not even midnight yet. We were on our way to that tiny club you liked. The smell of your cologne filled the car, mingled with the berry scent of my body lotion. It was a Saturday night, we were finally alone.

You were talking about something some one told you at work. I wasn't paying attention, because I was watching your lips move... the way your hand traced small circles on the steering wheel... But I remember the way your eyes stared ahead... the way your lips curved into a smile as you related your day's events... and I remember what I would have given to taste them right at that moment...

The moment passed. A million moments have gone by since... but that memory still resurfaces every now and then... I wonder if you still look as intense when you drive in the rain...

Silly Girls!

What a weekend, I had the best of times!

Started with a girls night in the city - we rented a party bus to take us all there, so we didn't have to worry about who was going to be the D.D. I am not sure if we had more fun in the bus or at the club itself, its a toss up..... the club played some awesome 80's music, I totally was enjoying myself and showing my age amongst all the youngins who looked like they just turned old enough to drink, while lip singing to guns-n-roses and whitesnake - ha ha -

We were having fun teasing lots of guys, and we all made up "stage names" we had a hard time keeping up with our fake names as the night grew... ha ha... I dont know why we play these silly games, I guess to pass the time, it gets kinda boring standing around waiting for the alcohol to kick in so we try to keep ourselves entertained I guess.

We danced a lot, I drank too much wine, but all in all it was a blast. I don't get out but once or twice a month with the girls because of my busy schedule, so when I do get out I am like a kid in a candy store with all the hotties.

One of my best friends is gay and he is the ONLY guy allowed to hang with us on "Girls Night", he is the MOST FUN to hang with, he cracked me up all night. I just love hanging with him, he is Fab-U-lous and was definitely was the best dress guy there!!!

I did go home solo, incase you were wondering! What kinda girl do you think I am (giggle)

Went to a get together on Sunday to watch the game, they loved my BBQue Meatballs - and made a promise to bring them again for the Super Bowl Party... they are very yummy - Ill post the recipe here later, its an easy dish that is always a crowd favorite.

I have not had a chance to answer my email - I will get to it this week - PROMISE! Just not enough hours in the day :-)

But Officer... How Fast Was I going?

So... tonight's drive home from work was... interesting... Did you know that they frown on speeders? Especially if you don't see the markings on their cruiser, and you fly past them doing ten... err.. fifteen... or so over?

I was in a hurry. I didn't see the cop. I was keeping up with traffic. The crowd just happened to be waaaayyy ahead of me. So.. I've got my windows down, heat kicking, radio going... and bam. Disco lights behind me. Wha?? I don't recall requesting mood lighting for my tunes. Grrrrrr.

I pull over. Wait for the officer to walk to my window. I can see him in my mirror getting out of his car. He's tall. Good looking. Definitely older, but solid.. tanned. I'm thinking to myself... Wow, he'd be even sexier if he wasn't pulling me over. He comes up, looks down, and asks the inevitable: "Do you know why I pulled you over?" I knew. I didn't realize I'd been going that fast, but I knew. I said as much. He asked for my paperwork, driver's license, all that fun stuff. I leaned over to the passenger seat, pulled it out, handed it over. The officer looks at my driver's license, looks at me, compares. I tried to smile, and said "Well, I wasn't pulled over when it was taken, it's why the smile's better". Finally, he cracked a smile. But he still stood there. He informed me, sternly, how speeding was a dangerous way to drive. After a few moments, he walks back to the cruiser, and does his thing. I'm sitting in my car just waiting, just knowing that I'm going to get some huge ticket for driving like a dork right in front of a cop...

So.. He comes back to my window. Again, I watch him walking.. Damn. He was hot. But, he's also got my license, my registration and insurance... and the ability to make me pay how ever much a speeding ticket costs these days.. Not good.. Not good! I smile again, as he hands back my stuff. I lean back over, and put it back in my purse. And then he started giving the lecture. I was looking up at him, as he explained how he was going to let me go.. How speeding endangered not only my life, but the lives of everyone else on the road. He was right. I should have been paying more attention to the spedometer. After about five minutes, he again tells me that he's not going to ticket me. I thank him profusely. He'd been polite, but firm, and seemed to just keep talking. But, eventually, he bid me a good night. Told me to drive safely, and he walked back to his cruiser.

I started the ignition, and turned on my blinker to get back into traffic... And happened to look down. It never dawned on my that leaning over to grab my stuff out of my purse had moved my skirt up on my legs. Instead of my skirt demurely covering the tops of my stockings and garters... Fun @ The Post Office

So I thought about it for a second, if I unpack these boxes and repack at home I will have to spend another lunch break standing in line OR I could just do it here in front of all these people who are also on their lunch break who are already glaring at me for taking so long.... hmmmm..... what's a girl to do...

So after he told me I could save 30 bucks, I figured what the hell, so I DID! I unpacked all that lingerie and panties and nighties right there in the middle of the lobby - ha ha!
